Refund Policy

Short version: Try the free version first. If you upgrade to Pro and it doesn't work for you within 7 days, email us for a full refund, as long as you haven't already imported a meaningful catalog with it.

Free is the trial

SimpleImporter Free is on WordPress.org with unlimited rows for simple products, posts, pages, and media. The full mapping flow, the live preview, the background processor, the pause and resume, all of it works in the free version.

Almost every "will this plugin work for me?" question can be answered before you spend a dollar. Install Free first, run a real test import, see how it handles your data and your hosting. That's the trial.

If Free works, upgrade to Pro for variations, scheduling, remote sources, Data Prep, exports, and the rest. If Free doesn't work, please email us before buying so we can help.

The 7-day money-back trial

You have 7 days from your Pro purchase date to request a full refund. You qualify on either of these grounds:

  1. You haven't really used Pro yet. If you've imported fewer than 100 rows total using Pro features (variable products, scheduled imports, remote sources, exports, Data Prep, etc.), you can request a refund for any reason or no reason.
  2. You found a bug we can't fix. If Pro has a genuine bug that prevents you from doing something the plugin is advertised to do, and we can't resolve it within 5 business days, you get a refund regardless of how many rows you've imported.

What we won't refund

We're being straight with you about this so nobody is surprised later:

  • Refund requests after the 7-day window, except for serious unresolved bugs we caused.
  • Purchases where 100 or more rows have already been imported with Pro features. At that point you've gotten real value out of the plugin, and an "import the whole catalog then refund" workflow isn't sustainable for us.
  • Purchases activated on 3 or more sites that have each run imports. Pro is licensed for the sites you own, not as a tool to do a one-time migration and walk away.
  • Renewal payments more than 7 days old. You're renewing for support and updates that started the day you renewed.
  • "Buyer changed their mind about WordPress / WooCommerce / their store" situations after the 7-day window. We're sorry, but that's not on the plugin.

This policy exists so we can keep building. A no-questions 30-day refund window on a one-time import tool gets abused, and the people who suffer for that are honest buyers when the maker shuts down. We'd rather be straight with you about the lines.

How to request a refund

Email hello@simpleimporter.com with:

  • The email address you used at checkout
  • Your order number (in your purchase confirmation email)
  • A line about what didn't work (helps us improve, not required for the refund)

We typically process refunds within 1 to 3 business days. Funds usually appear back in your account within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.

What happens to your license after a refund

Once your refund is processed, your Pro license key is deactivated. The Pro plugin stops receiving updates and any Pro-only features lock on the next plugin reactivation. You can continue using the free version from WordPress.org with no issue.

After the 7-day window

If something goes seriously wrong after the trial window, like a major bug or a billing error on our end, email us anyway. We'll do the right thing case by case. We're not going to hide behind policy when somebody got the short end of a problem we created.

Renewals

Pro includes 6 months of updates and priority support. After month 6 you can optionally renew for $59.99 per year to keep updates and support flowing. Renewal payments follow the same 7-day refund window as the initial purchase. If you don't renew, the plugin keeps working with the last version you have.

Free version

The free version is, well, free. There's nothing to refund. If you've left a tip to support development, those are also non-refundable since they're voluntary.

Chargebacks

If you have an issue, please email us before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer. A chargeback bypasses our process and forces us to spend hours on paperwork. We will always try to resolve things directly first, and we honor the refund policy in good faith. If you chargeback before contacting us, we may decline future purchases from the same account.
