Refund Policy

Last updated: November 11, 2026

Short version: Try the free version first. If you upgrade to Pro and it doesn't work for you, email us within 14 days for a full refund, as long as you haven't already imported a large catalog with it.

Try free before you buy

SimpleImporter Free is on WordPress.org with all the same core functionality as Pro, capped at 333 rows per file. Most people can confirm the plugin works for their workflow on the free version alone. We recommend doing this before upgrading to Pro.

If you're not sure whether SimpleImporter will work with your specific data, file format, or hosting setup, install Free first. Free is the trial.

The 14-day refund window

You have 14 days from your Pro purchase date to request a refund, on either of these grounds:

  1. You haven't used Pro substantially yet. If you've imported less than 1,000 rows using Pro features (variable products, unlimited rows beyond 333, scheduled imports, JSON, FTP, SFTP, etc.), you can request a refund for any reason or no reason at all.
  2. You found a bug we can't fix. If Pro has a genuine bug that prevents you from doing what was advertised, and we can't resolve it in a reasonable time, you get a refund regardless of how many rows you've imported.

What we won't refund

We're being straight with you about this:

  • Purchases where the buyer has already imported their entire catalog (10,000+ rows) and then asks for a refund. That's not buyer's remorse, that's a free import.
  • Purchases more than 14 days old, except for serious bugs we couldn't resolve.
  • Renewals after the first year. You're renewing for support and updates, which start the day you renew.

This policy exists because real businesses got built on plugins like this one, and we'd like SimpleImporter to be one of them. A no-questions 30-day refund window on a one-time import tool is an open invitation to abuse, and we'd rather be honest about that than pretend.

How to request a refund

Email hello@simpleimporter.com with:

  • The email address you used at checkout
  • Your order number (in your purchase confirmation email)
  • A line about what didn't work (optional, but helps us improve)

We'll process the refund within 5 business days, usually the same day. Funds typically appear back in your account within 5 to 10 business days depending on your bank.

What happens to your license after a refund

Once your refund is processed, your Pro license key is deactivated. The Pro plugin stops receiving updates, and Pro features revert to the free tier on next plugin reactivation. You can continue using the free version from WordPress.org with no issue.

After 14 days

If something goes seriously wrong after the 14-day window, like a major bug or a billing error, email us anyway. We'll do the right thing case by case. We're not the kind of business that hides behind policy when somebody got the short end.

Renewals

Pro licenses come with 1 year of updates and support. After year 1, you can optionally renew for $59. Renewals follow the same 14-day refund window as the initial purchase.

Free version

The free version is, well, free. There's nothing to refund. Donations to support development are also non-refundable since they're voluntary support, not a transaction for a product.
